Well actually.I've kept a training log since 1993! 1,930 runs in 12½ years = an average of 3 runs per week. |
| What is your favourite training run? |
Anywhere off-road between Bursledon and Hill Head is good. As are the pathways around Lake Annecy in France if you get a chance - great scenery. |
| What was your best ever race? |
Fishbourne 5 in 2005. I came 17th. Nice to be involved at the front end of the field - not something I can frequently claim. |
| And what was your worst or most embarrassing race? |
June 2005 SGR 4-mile Time Trial. Waited on the start line in Eric Road, Stubbington till 6.35pm - in the rain. Then realised I was on my own because it was the last Tuesday of the month, whilst the Time Trials are held on the first Tuesday of the month. I slunk away quietly!! |

Collect more race entry forms. |
| What is the best piece of gear you have bought? |
Top priority - replace running shoes regularly to avoid injury. Brookes every time for me. |
| Worst piece of gear? |
Cheap running shoes - false economy. |

I don't run or watch EastEnders at 7.30pm. I ferry my daughters to dancing lessons instead! |

Mad - have only myself to blame for aches and pains. |
| What is the one piece of advice you would give to any new runner? |
Listen to your body when deciding on training sessions. It can help avoid injury. |
