I am a supply teacher for primary schools in the area, so have the flexibility to have days at home, or rather running with the dog! |

Since March 2009. |
Can you remember your first race? |
X-C races at secondary school. Our school backed onto the sand dunes and we ran to the sea and back. |
How often do you bother to go training? |
Monday and Thursday pms when hubby has not encroached on my time! During the day if I am not working. |
What is your favourite training run? |
Along the sea front around the Chilling area. |
What was your best ever race? |
Probably the RR10 series of races as they are x-c and good distances for me. |
And what was your worst or most embarrassing race? |
I am not a fan of road races and I found the HRRL solent half marathon tough. |
Do you have a pre-race ritual? |
Eating a bag of crisps for the salt content! (Honest) |
What is the best piece of gear you have bought? |
Fitted comfortable trainers and my Garmin watch with the Velcro strap so that it actually fits my wrist. |

Why do you run when you could be sat at home watching EastEnders? |
Escapism from the daily ongoing chores when you have children!! |
What does she/he who must be obeyed think about your running? |
Thinks it’s fantastic as it is something we can do together on race days, but separately on evenings?! It’s even better if I am unable to go so that he can go more often. |
What is the one piece of advice you would give to any new runner? |
Laser eye surgery if you have less than perfect vision! |
