TODAYS RUNNER XC

Out of all the cross country events, the Todays Runner series offer the best courses and they can be quite demanding! There are normally 6 races starting in October and finishing in March. All runners must wear a club vest. All races start at 11am.

The guideline for speed is 5:40 minute mile pace for men and 6:15 minute mile pace for women.

This translates to:
  Men Women
5m 28.20 31.15
10k 35.13 38.50
10m 56.40 62.30

Any runner who achieves this pace over a measured distance of 5 miles or over during the 12 months prior to the first race is ineligible. A team to comprise the first 5 scoring men and first 3 scoring women.

Todays Runner races are organised by Glen Street and are a very relaxed affair with the speedy runners being banned!! Glen can be contacted by or by telephoning him on 01329 845330.
