STUBBINGTON Green 10K helpers urgently required. We are still short of helpers for the day and we really need your help if you can spare a few hours on the day. Please contact Paul Hammond as soon as possible - pjh669q@btinternet.com
There will be two meetings for race day marshals and helpers, Thursday 13th & Friday 14th January; both will be held at the Crofton Community Centre times to be confirmed. If you are marshalling or helping out on race day please attend one of these meetings, this is very important as details of the day and your responsibilities will be disseminated then.
Help is also required to pack the numbers for race entrants, this will be done on Wednesday 5th January, 7.30pm at Peel Common Junior School. We need between 25 and 30 people for this to try and break the 1hr 45min record to pack 1800 numbers. Note: Gary makes the tea and provides the cakes!

UKA Update
From next year all UKA affiliations will require an email address so that affiliated members can be better informed. If you have your logon details, perhaps you would go on-line and enter your email details ... if you haven't already.
Once I start the 2011-2012 renewals, I will need to ensure all email addresses are up-to-date. If you do NOT wish me to enter your email address onto their system then please let me know ASAP. With up to 200 updates to apply I won't be wanting to leave it until March to add this information to their database. If you don't wish me to submit your email to UKA then any communications will be sent through the club, thus they are likely to be delayed. Thanks Caroline Street.

JUST a reminder that the first Todays Runner X-Country race is due to take place on Sunday 31st October at Pamber Forest near Tadley just north of Basingstoke starting at 11.00am. To get there take Junction 6 off the M3 and follow the A340 signs for Aldermaston. Keep on the A340 until you reach the Lloyds Bank traffic lights in Tadley just after the Sainsburys store. Turn right for Pamber Heath and Silchester then after 1k turn right into Pamber Heath Road, and the Pamber Heath Memorial Hall is 400m on the left. This is the meeting point and race car park. When full please park sensibly in Burney Bit or other local residential streets. Hot food in the form of locally produced hot sausages plus cakes/teas will be available in the Hall afterwards at a price of £1.50 per head so an incentive to stay afterwards and discuss performances.
As this is the first race of the series hoping for a good turnout and it would be good to see some of you who have done the RR10 series come and compete on real cross country courses. Any queries please contact me on 02392 347962 or john_tussler@hotmail.com.

VIRGIN LONDON MARATHON CLUB ENTRIES. Although the club has yet to receive it's allocation of entries for the 2011 Virgin London Marathon, it is time to start thinking if you would like to be considered for one. If you applied for an entry via the ballot and were not fortunate enough to get in you can apply for a club entry, to do this you must let Paul Hammond have your rejection slip; this in itself will not guarantee you an entry but will get you in the mix. This year the club was allocated five entries so get those slips in.
