The third race in this seasons RR10 calendar took place at Wilverley enclosure at Sway. Due to a serious road accident in Lyndhurst the start was delayed by 15 minutes to allow time for runners to arrive at the start.
New Forest Runners produced their race anti-clockwise round the course this year; a mix of grass, trail and track, with some steady inclines made for a good race. The biting, flying things were waiting at the finish which hastened the start of the post race wash up in the Oak Inn at Bank.
Unfortunately there was a mix up with the finish numbers in the men's race, which meant that all those who finished beyond 50 have had 5 places added on. The next race is hosted by Hardley Runners on Wednesday 30th May at the recreation ground Blackfield, with a 7:30 start. Post race seminar on the benefits of running with hindsight at the The Pilgrim's Inn, Hythe Road, Marchwood.
Full race results can be found on the RR10 website.
