THE RACE.
The first part of the course winds on cycle paths through the famous Rambouillet forest, before crossing a few open fields (where there is always a nasty head wind) before heading back through some housing allotments to the town centre finish.

Rambouillet is a royal town situated about 45 minutes from Paris. Every year early in March it runs a very well organized half marathon which is used many ”Isle de France” runners as preparation for the Paris marathon 4 weeks later. The applications for the race are always closed early January with the committee limiting the start to 2600 runners.
