Eastleigh parkrun Saturday 10th December
I have been asked to coordinate a team of Stubbington Green Running Club volunteers for the Eastleigh parkrun on Saturday 10th December – helpers will need to arrive at 8.30 for the start at 9AM
What would I do at the Event?
None of our tasks are too stressful. You could be organising the finish funnel, operating the timer, registering the runners' positions on the computers or a general marshalling type job – these tacks will mean sacrificing your run (but you will get lots of thanks and 100 points in the annual points competition). But help is also needed with the setting up the course before and clearing down after the last runner is home if you want to run as well as help out.
If you can’t help out why not join us “just” for the run – http://www.parkrun.org.uk/eastleigh/results/agecategoryrecords and see if SGRAC can make some inroads into the age group category records.
It’s not all about fast speeds – parkrun is all inclusive and there is a place for everyone – the range of times at Eastleigh last week was 17 – 44 minutes
