Avebury 8
The Avebury 8 is an 8-mile trail race which takes place in the Wiltshire countryside, starting and finishing at Avebury, a World Heritage Site famed for its stone circle. The route follows byways and bridleways and seems to be all uphill; not the big hills that you may expect near Marlborough but long shallow uphill drags.
So on Gosport Half day I headed through the fog up to Wiltshire; the fog never really cleared all day, so it was a cool and murky autumnal morning throughout.
