Sports Relief
It was a mild Sunday morning and the sun was out however the rain had visited throughout the week and so the ground was very soft underfoot.
Well I set off with my daughter Chloe 14 and son Danny 12 on a 3 mile trek round Fareham leisure centre fields. Whilst my wife Emma and 7 year old son Jack were doing the mile greatly supported by Granny Hearnden. Well half way round the first of 3 laps I passed a rather dishevelled, slow looking Alasdair Ewing, well you could imagine my excitement, I Simon Hearnden was in front of Alasdair.
Dreams were made of this and I was set on finishing before him. I caught up with Danny and we went for it for the rest of the run. I did it and for all those record books out there it was a special day I beat Alasdair. Simon Hearnden.
