Social Events for 2010
The Social Committee got together last week to plan for the social calendar for the coming months. Sue Robinson has joined our motley crew to give a hand and is a very welcome addition. We felt successful events of 2009 should continue and intend to carry on with:
• Post a pub for the RR10’s post run drink and cheesy chips (watch the website)
• Monthly curry nights (cuisine may vary from time to time, suggestions always welcome)
• Fish and Chip handicap towards the end of May
• Summer family fun BBQ
• Hostelling weekend
• The Annual Club Awards Night
Dates and venues to be confirmed once organised so keep your eyes on the GR and the website.
We also thought it would be nice to do something new and so hope to bring you an Easter Handicap in April, probably the Sunday following Easter weekend. Chocolate is bound to feature somewhere for all those chocoholics in the club. Yum!
How about something different and exciting for 2010? A Stubby Summer Ball has been proposed!! The date will be Friday, 25th of June. Posh frocks and DJ’s will be the flavour but not essential, for those who prefer general smart evening wear is fine too. Price of tickets is likely to be in the region of £23. More details will be published very soon! Watch this space!
