runbritain.com
This new website has been set up so that you can see the results of your races over 5km, 10km, Half Marathon and Marathon on the road as a current ranking & handicap score. It will show your personal progress plotted on a graph, compare your results with other runners ‘head-to-head’, give you target times for the next level & provide training schedules to achieve your targets. The following is copied from their website : -
“ runbritain's revolutionary new handicap scoring system is designed to give road runners of all abilities the ability to benchmark their progress and compare their results across a range of distances and terrains. The scoring system, which has been developed in conjunction with the team behind the Power of 10 website, rewards regular racing and factors in a degree of difficulty for slower courses. The score is derived from your results at 5K, 10K, Half Marathon & Marathon during 2010 and thereafter on a rolling 12 month basis although you only need to have done one race in 2010 to claim a handicap. Once registered you just need to log in to be taken to your bespoke personal running biog profile page.” Penny Forse.
