THE RACE. Two intricate and surprisingly undulating laps with many twists and turns in this London Park. It was well organised including the warm up and friendly marshals

Comment. The race pack included a technical running vest sporting the mnemonic FAST as a guide to recognising and dealing with symptoms of a stroke.
FACIAL weakness: Can the person smile? Has their mouth or eye drooped?
ARM weakness: Can the person raise both arms?
SPEECH problems: Can the person speak clearly and understand what you say?
