HRRL 2010/11 Fixtures
The HRRL 2010/11 fixtures have been confirmed as the same 12 races as last season and full details can be found here.
The season kicks off on 4th September with the traditional undulating 5 mile curtain raiser at Overton. The prize giving after the race will also incorporate the prize giving for the 2009/10 HRRL season, where SGRAC achieved great success in both individual and team results.
The success of the last season, and the great turnouts we achieved, has led to 3 men’s and 2 ladies teams being entered for the 2010/11 season. This should enable even more Stubbies to compete and represent the club throughout the season. In the men’s team event the first 4 to count for the A team, the next 4 for the B and the next 4 for the C team. For the ladies it is 3 to score in each team.
The Overton 5 starts at 3pm, and there are also children’s races around the park, plus a 2.5 mile “fun run” incorporated within the main run. Postal entries are open, and entries are accepted on the day between 1pm-2.15pm provided that the race limit has not been reached.
The Overton 5 is quickly followed by the Victory 5 mile on 19th September. If ever there was a PB 5 mile course this is it! Both are available to enter now, so there is no need to delay in getting your entries in, and your holiday training schedule sorted. It would be great to see SGRAC get off to another flying start this season by having a strong contingent of members running at both of these opening fixtures.
