Great South 2010
My name’s Alex Wright and I represent an international water charity called Operation WellFound. Operation WellFound provides cleans, safe drinking water, sanitation services and hygiene education to the 1.1 billion people who currently lack this most basic of human necessities. This shortfall leads to the death of a child every 18 seconds, a statistic that Operation WellFound is committed to reducing.
In an effort to raise funds to achieve this aim we have obtained 25 places on this year’s BUPA Great South Run in Portsmouth on October 24th and would very much like to take this opportunity to invite you and/or your fellow runners at your club to take part on our behalf to help us bring water and sanitation to some of the world’s poorest people.
If you feel that, for whatever reason, you can’t take part I would be extremely grateful if you could circulate this message amongst your fellow runners. If you or they have any questions then please, don’t hesitate to give me a call in the office or let me know by reply.
