The Three Wise Puddings
The three wise puddings, aka Alan White, Robert Spencer and Eric Beck travelled down to Christchurch for the Christmas 10k organised by the Christchurch Runners. This is a lovely flat course run around the country lanes of Burton.
The race got underway at 11.00am, and Robert led the team away for at least......ermm! 20 - 30 metres!! Eric and I then settled into our race pace. I slowly pulled away from Eric and stayed there until almost the last half-mile when Eric had ideas of revenge for the Jack & Jill race we took part in earlier in the year, but luckily for me I looked over my shoulder in the nick of time and saw him catching me up, which led to a very close finish! Robert had a good race and finished well.
For us three 50-somethings we had a good race and were pleased with our times, finishing a good day off with a stop-off at the pub which was conveniently located near the finish!
I'd recommend booking early in the year for this race even though it's held in December, it's very popular and good for PBs. Alan White.
