Wessex Cancer Run
IT may not be cricket, but the Norwich Union Healthcare Annual Rose Bowl Run is one of the must-do running events on the south coast.
Organised by Team Southampton, the race takes place on Sunday, September 28th, starting and finishing at the Rose Bowl in West End - the home of Hampshire County Cricket Club.
The event, in aid of Wessex Cancer, includes a five-mile run around the grounds of the Rose Bowl, and most likely including Telegraph Woods. It's a tough, challenging course, which was at one time used for the RR10. The race starts at 11.30am, with the race finishing inside the Rose Bowl itself.
Earlier, at 10.30am, there is a famiy fun run/Sunday stroll for those wanting to enjoy the surroundings.
Entry fee is £8 for affiliated runners, £10 for unaffiliated and it's £12 entry on the day.
