Todays Runner XC
The results of the QE Country Park event have finally been published, and with the men finishing 5th and the ladies 3rd, Stubbington had a good start to the season with =2nd place overall with Hart Road Runners, Farnham Runners having taken an early victory.
IMPORTANT - IMPORTANT - IMPORTANT - IMPORTANT - IMPORTANT - The race scheduled for next Sunday (30th November) at Hawley Lake has had to be cancelled (see letter of apology from race organiser below).
This means that the next scheduled race is at Bourne Woods (Farnham) on Sunday 14th December. If you were planning on running at Hawley Lake, why not take a detour to Kings Park Bournemouth, for the first of the Wessex Cross Country events, I'm sure Phil May would be pleased to see you there.
"With deep regret as part of my duties as chairman for Hart Road Runners, that due to the military requiring the use of the training area we planned for our cross-country course. We have to announce the cancellation of the Today’s Runner Cross-Country race on Sunday 30th November 2008.
Since we were informed at short notice that the military required the training area, we have been unable to secure another venue on this date. We are striving to pull out all the stops to secure another date for the event in the New Year. As a club we would like to apologies for having to cancel so late, which might affect your runners training patterns".
