Test Way Relay

THE Test Way Relay is going to be staged a week earlier than usual moving from its traditional September date into August.

The ever-popular 50-mile race from Inkpen Beacon in Berkshire to Eling Wharf near Southampton will be staged on Saturday, August 30th. It is being organised by Hardley Runners. In the past Stubbington has entered up to five teams in the race, and two years ago the men's team won the main event.

Other dates for your diary include the New Forest 10 will take place on Sunday, July 13 from New Park, Brockenhurst, where Mark Le Gassick will be bidding for a hat-trick of wins. The Braishfield Beer Race staged over five miles and organised by Romsey Road Runners will be run on Sunday, June 15th, and the organisers of the Clarendon Way Marathon and Half Marathon have announced it will be held on Sunday, October 5th.

One exciting race to look forward to in Southampton on Sunday, April 20th is the Saintly 5km which finishes in the grounds of Southampton Football Club's St Mary's Stadium (can't imagine Chris Hall competing in this one!). The race is organised by Team Southampton with money going to the Wessex Cancer Trust, and you will be able to use the facilities at St Mary's.
