RR10 Finale
IBM Hursley provides the venue for the final round of the RR10.
Winchester & District AC are hosting the event on Wednesday, August 20th, which is a multi-lap race staged on tracks around the IBM headquarters. Parts of the course are quite narrow, but it is always a fun finale to the 10-race season.
The race starts at 7.15pm and to get to the race venue, enter the Hursley site at the Southern entrance.
This is just south of the village ofHursley on the A 3090 between Romsey and Winchester. Please follow the signs to the car park. the start is near the clubhouse, which is 100 metres from the car park.
For many runners, the Hursley Park event will allow them to complete a sixth race of the summer which will count towards the overall standings. Your best six races count.
In the series, Penny Forse is Stubbington's leading lady holding 11th place overall and Darrell Milner is the top male in 25th.
With the team competition, Stubbington's men lie sixth, the B team 14th and the C team 26th with Southampton Running Club destined to lift the title once again.
For the women, it's Winchester's title once again, though Stubbington's A team lie third equal with Southampton Running Club going into the final race and just two points behind second-placed Team Southampton. So a good and strong turn-out at IBM could see the Stubbettes take their highest RR10 team ranking with a possible runners-up slot. Stubbington's B team lie 13th and the C team 42nd.
