Pewsey Half Marathon
IT is a scenic run through the heart of crop circle country in Wiltshire, but there was nothing mysterious about the Vale of Pewsey Half Marathon.
Based at Pewsey School, and with the bonus of delicious homemade post-race cakes, the Vale of Pewsey Half is one of the more relaxed half marathons in the region.
Darrell Milner headed to Pewsey for the race where he finished 38th in 1hr 32min 21 sec, just over seven minute mile pace. And he was joined by fellow Stubby Jane Adlard who clocked 2:11.18 for 249th place.
The race was won by Mike Blackmore from Bitton Road Runners in 1:14.35, while Karen Hazlitt from Winchester & District AC ran well for fifth place overall and leading lady in 1:21.25. A total of 286 runners took part.
