Mince Pie 10
WHO ate all the mince pies? The Hards family had their fill of festive culinary fare when they took part in the Mince Pie 10 in Peacehaven, East Sussex.
This was a 10-mile multi-terrain race where the irrepressible Barry Hards was the first vet to finish. He finished eighth overall in a time of 1hr 5min 48sec, which was three minutes quicker than 12 months earlier. "It was a bit slippery, but not a bad day," said Barry.
With mince pies all round at the finish, Barry's nephews and brother also ran with Darryl placing 7th in 1:05.05, Lewis 11th in 1:06.30, Kim was 45th in 1:16.36 and Dale placed 154th in 1:37.54.
Andrew Donno from Brighton & Hove AC won the race in 59min 3sec and the first lady to finish was 32nd placed Emma Richards from Lewes AC in 1:14.04.
