Mad March
IF you are thinking of a Spring marathon, then you might be interested in a new race taking place on the south coast this March.
The Mad March 20 was organised for a number of years around Christchurch, and at one stage was part of the Hampshire Road Race League. However, the event became oversubscribed pretty quickly as organisers were unable to cope with the large numbers of entrants.
Well now, there is a new version called the Mad March Pukka 20 & 10 mile race. It is on March 1st, six weeks before the London Marathon.
It is a rare, flat and fast 20-miler and is part of the Dorset Road Running League Races so those training for the big spring marathons tend to take up the places quite quickly.
