Mad March Hare 20
TUNBRIDGE Wells the previous week, New Forest the next - it's a veritable nomadic journey of running for the gruesome twosome, Nick Kimber and Marcus Lee.
With the third member of the London Marathon group, Jon Leigh, away on a spiritual weekend, it was left to Nick and Marcus to fly the Stubbington flag at the Mad March Hare 20 in Burton, Christchurch.
This has previously been a Hampshire Road Race League event, but the limited entry of just 450 runners which was sold out very quickly, meant this was a hard race to get into.
A year ago, conditions were monsoon-like for the race, fortunately the weather was much better for Sunday's race. Nick, as usual, stole the glory by stealing a march on Marcus, finishing in 2hrs 33min 34sec, and Marcus was home on the button in 2hrs 35mins.
