Longleat 10km
STUBBINGTON Green's Dan Horscroft managed to slip under the hour mark at the Longleat 10km in Warminster, Wiltshire.
Dan's running time was 1hr and 16secs, but with chip timing his official time was 58min 48sec for 754th place overall.
Despite a frosty start, some 1129 runners took part in a race which was won by Martin Cox in a time of 32min 9sec with Sophie Williams from Birchfield Harriers leading home the ladies in 26th place overall with 38.38.
This was the fourth running of the event which took place in front of the spectacular Longleat House, home of the Marquess of Bath. Runners hared round an undulating figure of eight course with a spectacular downhill finish towards Longleat House along Lodge Drive for a fast final half mile.
Money raised from the event went to the Dorothy House Hospice.
