Stubbington Green Runners & AC

2009 Flora London Marathon

Sense

Sense is the leading national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind. We provide expert advice and information as well as specialist services to deafblind people, their families, carers and the professionals who work with them.  In addition, we support people who have sensory impairments with additional disabilities.

Deafblindness is a combination of both sight and hearing difficulties. Most of what we learn about the world comes through our ears and eyes, so deafblind people face major problems with communication, access to information and mobility. People can be born deafblind, or become deafblind through illness, accident or in older age.

I have 50 Gold Bond places available in the 2009 Flora London Marathon for runners in the South East and would really like to offer some to your club runners.  In recognition of the time that club runners put into the sport, we are offering you a place with a discounted fundraising target of £1000 (normal requirement is £1400) + £100 registration fee.

I have attached a poster and a leaflet with all the details and would be so grateful if you could e-mail this to all runners and ask them to contact me directly if they would like a place.

If you have any questions or would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me on 01372840321 or email ed.charles@sense.org.uk

Please feel free to forward to any other interested party.

Kind regards

Ed Charles
