HRRL Preview
DON’T leave it too late to enter for the first Hampshire Road Race League event of the season.
The Overton 5 takes place on Saturday, September 6th with a 3pm start time and forms the first of the 12-race series.
The five-mile race is a two-lapper around the village with a couple of testing climbs. However, it is a good day out, one of the few races where you can bring the family who can have a good time at the village show while you race. There are children’s fun races beforehand.
The last day for postal entries is August 27th, although you can enter on the day but you will need to register by 2pm.
The race entry form can be found at www.hrrl.org.uk/ along with details of this season’s HRRL campaign.
Mike Harper, the club’s HRRL secretary, said: “If you can run, please do. We are looking to do well this season and it's so much easier if we can start well.
”All standards will help the club as a new B league starts this year, so we need numbers as well as quality.”
