Fordingbridge 10k
WOMEN always love a fireman, and Susie MacGregor is no exception! She hot-footed it down to Fordingbridge at the weekend for the Fordingbridge Fire Station 10km road race and won!
Susie was the first lady home in a time of 41min 22sec over an undulating course which was described as a bit likethe Alton 10 - which incidentally takes place this weekend.
The race, now in its 12th year,finished at the fire station so there were plenty of strapping firemen there to congratulate the Stubbette.
Darrell Milner was the first Stubby home in just over 40 minutes followed by Nick Kimber in 41.15. Tim Crumpton clocked 41.35, and promptly spent the afternoon on his bike to wind down, with Nick Davies completing the contingent finishing in around 45 minutes.
