Race Diary, October

ARE the cost of running races going up? You would think so judging by some of the arm and a leg fees being charged for some of the regional races in October.

However, there are quite a few decent and inexpensive races to pick from, as there is a fair choice of runs each weekend.

If you like a challenge, then why not try The Stickler in Dorset on October 26th which features a hell of a climb up the 1 in 3 Stickler within the first mile of the race? And if you like hills, then how about the Gold Hill 9.5k race on October 12th?

Barry Hards had a go at this last year, and the race features the eye-watering hill as featured in the famous Hovis TV ad with the young fella pushing his bike up this Everest of a slope.
