Butser Hill Challenge
IF you like hill running and have never taken on the Butser Hill Challenge, then maybe this is your year.
This year’s race, organised by Portsmouth Joggers Club and Victory AC, takes place on Sunday, September 28th.
Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield, just off the A3, is the base for the race, whose main event, the 4.5-mile senior race which is rated as a Grade A fell race, starts at midday.
Before then there are junior races from half a mile to one-and-a-half miles in distance.
Money raised from the run will go to the Rocky Appeal based at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth.
There are no entries on the day, and you’ll need to get in quick to enter. To download an entry form log onto: http://www.pjc.org.uk/nrace_entry_forms/2008_butser001.pdf with the cost of the entry fee set at £7 for affiliated runners.
