Today's Runner
IF you enjoyed running the RR10 summer cross country series, then the Today's Runner Winter League could be right up your street.....or muddy path!
The six-race Sunday morning series begins in November at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield and features five mile races where the speedies can't compete.
Any men who can run 5min 40sec pace for a mile or 6min 15sec pace for women is excluded.
This translates to 28min 20sec for five miles for men and 31.15 for women, or at 10km distance 35.15 for men and 38.50 for women.
Any runner who had achieved this pace over a measured distance of five miles or more during the 12 months prior to the first race is ineligible.
The races are fun and not too intense, the standard variable, and conditions muddy! Team-wise, the first five men make up a scoring team, and there are three ladies to score among the females.
All races start at 11am and if you want more details then contact Glen Street on glen.street@ntlworld.com
