Portland 10
NEIL Jarvis spent his Sunday in Dorset competing in the Portland 10 which attracted a quality field.
The Stubbington runner ran well, miling at just outside seven-and-a-half minute pace to finish 109th in a time of 1hr 17min 16sec.
A total of 269 runners took part with the race won by Carl Morris from Wells City Harriers in a time of 55min 47sec.
Karen Aus der Fuenten from Littledown Harriers, was the leading female runner. She clocked a time of 1hr 7min 12sec for 35th overall.
The race is organised by the Royal Manor of Portland Athletics Club, staged at the Royal Manor Arts College and is set on a course around the Isle of Portland.
