Maiden "New Ten" Madness

GRAHAM and Caroline Watts enjoyed a gentle summer's evening with a run around Dorset for the Maiden "New Ten" Madness.

Organised by the Maiden Newton Runners - which describes itself as a drinking club with a running problem - the third running of this multi-terrain 10km race was won by Ian Habgood from Egdon Heath Harriers in a time of 36min 38sec.

Egdon team-mate Stephanie Slade in 20th place overall was the leading lady in 44.01.

Graham came home in 92nd place in 57.16 and wife Caroline followed in 117th place in 1hr 5min 17sec.
