Hursley 10k
GORDON WESTLEY, Richard Simms and Julie Ashman took part in the first Hursley 10km cross country estate.
The evening was well organised and staged on the Hursley Estate and Ampfield Woods.
Conditions were good, and it was Richard who was the first Stubby home in 56th place in a time of 47min 6sec, followed by Gordon who was 77th in 48.41. Julie came 271st in a time of 1hr 3min 2sec.
Winchester & District Ac's Julian Mann led home the field of 356 runners in a time of 36.47, and Janet Littlewood, also from the Winchester club, was the leading lady in 35th with 44.53.
