Hampshire Road Race League Update

STUBBINGTON Green's ladies still hold top spot in Division 2 of the Hampshire Road Race League, but they are being made to battle for the two promotion places.

After round 6 of the HRRL with the Stubbington 10km Road Race, the ladies in green lead the table by just a point with 24 points from Gosport Running Club, with Farnham Runners in third on 31 points.

At Stubbington, Farnham performed the best of the Division 2 clubs, and Stubbington were third.

Farnham didn't run well at the first two events of the HRRL season at Overton and Hardley, but since then they have never been out of the top two of the Division 2 clubs.

In the individual rankings, Lauren Coates is the best placed Stubby lady in 60th overall which follows her 73rd place at Stubbington. Others: 91st Susie MacGregor, 106th Lesley Harding.

In the men's standings, Winchester AC and Southampton Running Club are fighting it out for supremacy. Despite winning the men's team honours at Stubbington, the Stubby men lie fourth in Division One, three points behind third-placed Portsmouth Joggers with the goal a bronze medal finish.
