Hair of the Dog
CAN you think of a better way to start 2008 than a run around Bere Forest on New Year’s Day for the club’s annual Hair of the Dog Run?
We start at 11am, meeting at the Wood end car park, just outside of Wickham, off the A32. It’s the same place as in previous years.
Don’t forget your money for the car park since you don’t want to start 2008 with a parking ticket!
Everyone is welcome – kids, grandparents, walkers, runners, dogs, the lot. You can have a gentle stroll round the forest, a steady run, or just sit and look after the mulled wine and mince pies.
Chairman Mike Clarke will be supplying the mince pies if someone else can do the honours with the mulled wine.
How to get to Bere Forest: from Fareham, heads towards Wickham, the head north along the A32. Go past the Roebuck Public House on the left, turn right about 200 yards past the pub. The Wod End car park is about 400 yards up the road on the right hand side.
