Gillingham Hilly
BEV Hards was given a tough battle but still managed to savour victory in the Gillingham Hilly 7.5-mile race in Dorset.
The Stubbington runner won the ladies' race by just half a minute, with a time of 51min 21sec to finish 15th overall. She managed to see off the challenge of Diane Hier from Warminster Running Club who was the second lady finisher in 51:51 and 17th overall, with a third Warminster runner, Leanne Tilley, the third home in 53:55 and 22nd overall
A total of 98 runners took part in the race organised by Gillingham Trotters, described as "hilly, but not horrendous". Dave Caddy from Egdon Heath Harriers won the race in a time of 42.50.
