Flitwick 10k - 15th April 2007
WHAT better way to prepare yourself for a charity leg wax than a hot and steamy 10km.
Dave King, who was having his hairy pegs cleansed of their hair as part of a charity Wax & Go in Whiteley, took part in the Flitwick 10km road race in Bedfordshire.
The race counted as the Bedfordshire 10km championship and is a tough run with seven testing climbs thrown in. Dave finished in a sedate time of 51min 57sec as he ran with an old school friend around the course.
"It was a nice way to ease down before the London Marathon next Sunday and my date with the demon leg waxer."
The Stubbington runner is also scheduled to feature on BBC's South Today this Friday (6.30pm). Dave was filmed in conversation with round the world sailor Dee Caffari before the London Marathon, and the short clip will also detail his round Britain charity running adventure.
