Fishbourne Flat Five
THE Fishbourne Flat Five is one of the most picturesque of races on the south coast, straddling round the pretty West Sussex harbour village in West Sussex.
Steve Wylie and Jon Leigh represented Stubbington at the event with Jon coming home in 15th place in 35.30 and Steve was 31st from a field of 118 runners in 39.53.
"Although flat, the weather made the conditions quite tricky," said Jon. "It was very wet and slippy, and there was one field to cross towards the end where you picked up a couple of pounds of mud on the bottom of each shoe.
"Overall it was a well organised, low key, fun race, with great scenery. It is one definitely recommended for next year."
