Fordingbridge Fire Station 10k - Sunday, May 6th
A warm, still, but slightly damp morning in sleepy Fordingbridge witnessed a cheerful bunch of runners set off along the rolling lanes of Hampshire.
Pheasants scattered in the fields and deer were startled in the surrounding woodland as 200 athletes of all abilities including members of the local Fire Brigade huffed and puffed over the hills.
A lone Stubbington Green vest could be seen appearing out of the drizzle as Richard Snell, finishing in 54th place, not bad out of 200, with a time of 46min 28sec, though not a PB but it was pretty good for a hilly race.
George Hide from Winchester & District AC won with a time of 34:26, he obviously didn't have time to look at the wildlife.
