IN two months' time, Jon Leigh will be putting his body on the line once again over 42km for the London Marathon.
On Sunday, Jon enjoyed a gentle stroll around the lanes of Lordshill and Nursling by taking part in the David Southampton 5km Road Race.
Jon finished as fifth Vet 45 in the race with an impressive time of 20min 19sec for 29th overall.
The race was won by Andy Morgan-Lee from Southampton Running Club with a time of 15.49 to lead home a field of 146 runners.
Denise Crumpton, after strong run at the Chichester Priory 10km last week - her first ever 10km - placed 32nd in the women's race. Her time of 28.23 gave Denise sixth in the W40 category.
Michelle Simpson followed in her wake with 29.00 for 35th and the newly-established 40-year-old was seventh W40. Southampton Running Club's Erica Sheldon made it an SRC double with victory in the women's race in 17.37.
