Cross Country
FIXTURE dates for the Hampshire Cross Country League have been announced.
The five fixtures series takes place on a Saturday afternoon with a 10km race for the senior men which starts at 2.30pm and a 6km race for senior women which gets under way at 1.35pm. There are also a host of junior age group races spread throughout the afternoon.
The series begins on Saturday, October 13th at Farley Mount in Winchester, organised by Winchester & District Ac. Although this is the Hampshire Cross Country League, the series takes in four counties.
On Saturday, November 10th, Chichester Runners & AC host the second round at Goodwood in West Sussex, followed on December 1 with a visit to Ashe Meadows in Overton in North Hampshire for round three. This date has still to be confirmed by Overton Harriers.
Round four heads for Berkshire and Prospect Park in Reading on January 12, hosted by Reading AC, and then the final round moves to Dorset at Canford Park in Wimborne for races organised by Hamworthy Harriers, Poole AC and Poole Runners.

With Stubbington competing in both the men's and women's leagues, Tim and Chris would be delighted if you wanted to run for the club this cross country season. In truth, the cross country races are never the slippery, slidey, mudbaths remembered from Tom Brown's Schooldays, but reasonably testing races staged in a friendly atmosphere.
