Butser Hill Run
THIS Sunday's Buster Hill Run is definitely on.
There have been rumours that this year's 4.5-mile run has been cancelled because of the recent foot and mouth outbreak, but organisers have insisted it will be well and truly on.
John Marsh from Victory Athletic Club said: "There will be bio mats and other precuations but the race IS going ahead as usual," he said.
"We are worried that runners and walkers who were thinking of turning up on the day and also those who have already entered will not turn up."
There will be a number of walks and kids races taking place on Sunday at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield, as well as the hill race.
Thousands of pounds each year are raised for various charities and over the 27 events that the Buster Hill Run has been held it has raised over £500,000. "Of course, if people do not turn up, we raise less money," added John.
The race starts at 11.45am, and there are entries on the day priced at £8.
