Beginner's Course
HAVE YOU begun the New Year with a resolution to lose a few inches around the waistline and to exercise more? Would you like to find out about how to keep fit and healthy with friends? Then why not sign up for the Stubbington Green Runner's beginners' course.
Following the success of last Spring's first-ever beginners' course, we're planning to run another in March, and it's open to anyone who wants to add a little focus to their running.
Stubbington Green Runners are planning to hold an eight-week course starting on Wednesday, March 28th and will run every Wednesday evening through to May 16th.
We will meet at Crofton School in Stubbington for a prompt 6.30pm start. After the training session, a series of guest speakers will give talks on a variety of subjects related to running and keeping fit. The Eastleigh-baed sports retailers, Just Run, will be coming on April 4th to talk about footwear and kit.
The course will be suitable for runners of all abilities. Absolute beginners can be assured we will treat them gently - we are trying to encourage not discourage and each session will be supported by members who have many years of experience between them.
For safety reasons we must restrict the numbers to a maximum of 30 so apply now to be certain of a place.
If you are uncertain, or want to find out more, then feel free to contact either: Christine Haskell on 01489 582996, Glen or Caroline Street on 01329 845330, or Chris Hall on 02392 355498.
It is recommended that you speak with your doctor to ensure your fitness to participate before applying.
The cost of the course is £18 which includes one year's club membership.
