Banbury 15
IT was anything but a piece of cake for Dave King at the Banbury 15. On a blistering hot day in Oxfordshire, and on a rolling course with two killer hills thrown in, the Stubby runner found the going tough. He clocked a time of 1hr 53min 41sec for the 15 miler which started and finished by the town's leisure centre and set out on a tricky course in the Oxfordshire countryside. "It was just one of those days when the hills went on forever, and you couldn't really get moving," he said. "Mind you, the Toblerone bar at the end was very welcome." |
