Ballycotton 10
LIZ HALL and Dave King headed over to the Emerald Isle to sample some Irish hospitality and racing.
They took part in the popular Ballycotton 10 road race, which is based at the village of Ballycotton near Cork, on the Republic's southern coast.
Almost 2,000 runners took part in the event, which is regarded as one of Ireland's classic road races and which has attracted the likes of running legend, Sonia O'Sullivan.
For the 30th running of the race, overnight storms cleared in time for blue skies and sunshine for most of the event.
Dave finished 415th in a time of 1hr 11min 56sec wearing his all Irish green Stubby vest, and Liz placed 1670 with 1:37.47.
