World Run Day, 5th November 2006
RUNNING is often a very individual sport, but through our own efforts later this autumn we can make a big difference to others. Sunday, November 5th has been designed World Run Day to End Child Hunger, and there’s an event taking place in Hampshire.
The Winchester World Run Day has three runs – a 10km, 5km and 2.5km, all starting at Peter Symonds College at 11am.
For £18, the UN World Food Programme can feed a child for a year! And they do it with school meals to encourage the kids to get an education. In other words into school and out of hunger.
