Stubbington Green Runners

Track and Field

INSPIRED by the Commonwealth Games? Think you can handle a relay baton sharper than Briton's sprinters (who couldn't?!!), pole vault over the bar as opposed to under it, and throw a javelin without causing distress and trauma to watching spectators?

Then, Mike Clarke would love to hear from you. The track and field season is almost upon us, and Stubbington will be fielding a team in Division 3 of the men's Southern League.

The first fixture takes place on April 29th, and likely to be staged at Oxford, although the venue has not been confirmed. The club are looking for throwers and jumpers to compete for the club.

If perhaps you were a whizz in the field events at school, and fancy a run out this summer, then Mike will be delighted to hear from you. For more details, e-mail him at: Michael.tclarke@btopenworld.com Full details of the track and field schedule will be posted on the website shortly.
