STUBBINGTON'S men's track and field team will be in action at Southampton Sports Centre this weekend for the second Southern League meet of the summer.
In the opening Division 3 meet at Oxford last month, Mike Harper's men in green came third. On Saturday, they take on Team Southampton, who were second last time around, as well as Oxford and Bournemouth, who came fourth.
Mike is hoping to put out a strong team to challenge Team Southampton for top spot. It will also be the first time in five years that Stubbington have taken part in an athletics meeting which has run alongside the Southern Women's League, which has meant that most of the event times have changed.
The first event will be the hammer at 12.45pm, followed by the long jump at 1pm. The final event will be the 4x400m relay which takes place at 5.50pm. The only event not to change its regular timing is the 5,000m.
Stubbington will be fielding officials to judge the shot and discus events which take place at 3pm and 4.05pm.
