The Stickler, 29th October 2006

ALASDAIR Ewing was among 390 runners who tackled the infamous Dorset Doddlers’ Stickler.

Runners from far and wide descended on Shillingstone on a bright sunny morning to compete in the challenging Dorset Three Peaks race - 10.1 miles and 1500ft of climbing over Okeford, Hod and Hambledon Hills.

The race started from Lanchards Lane, and finished on the platform of the old Shillingstone Station. The Primary School provided the race headquarters and some fantastic homemade cakes!

Alasdair finished 11th in a time of 1hr 11min 46sec. The race was won for the second year running by Andy Blow of VO Two in 1:03.50 – 2min 26sec faster than last year. The first lady was Doddler Lynda Faulkner in 1:15.45, 28th overall.
