SGR & AC 10k, 14th January 2007
THE COUNTDOWN is on to the Stubbington 10km Road Race.
This year's race, which is sponsored by Boarhunt Garage Services, takes place on Sunday, January 14th, 2007.
More than 1,000 runners are expected to line up for one of the best 10km races in Hampshire which starts and finishes in Stubbington village, incorporating the Hampshire County 10km Championships, and also count towards the prestigious Hampshire Road Race League.
Last year's race was won by Alton Runners' Toby Lambert, and a strong field is expected this year, along with hundreds of runners who don't belong to clubs but who enjoy the Stubbington 10km race because of its friendly atmosphere, scenic route, and the famous Stubby mug at the end of the run.
Entries are now being accepted with the cost of entry at £8 for affiliated runners and £10 for unattached runners. Just download the form, fill it in and send it to us - and we'll take care of the rest.
There is also a junior fun run for seven to 14-year-olds around Stubbington, which takes place at 10.05am. Entries will be taken on the day for the one-mile race.
Unfortunately this year we are unable to accept wheelchair entries, but all in all it promises to be a great day and a superb race.
Last year, we reached our entry limit by the first week of December, so make sure of your entry now.
